Archive gift orders, free gifts for every recipient, and steadier deliveries

This update makes gift orders, gift cards and emails keep going in cases where they used to stall.

New

  • Archive gift orders. Archive or unarchive any gift order from its page in the Shopify app.
  • Free gifts on every recipient's order. A gift with purchase now lands on each recipient's order in a Multi Gift, not only the main one.

Improved

  • Approve held Multi Gifts. When a Multi Gift needs approval, you can approve or deny it in the Shopify app. Claim emails wait until you approve.
  • Nav text replaces Wordmark. In Settings > Multi Gifts > Branding, Nav text now saves and shows in your storefront nav when you have no logo.
  • Multi Gift emails. Four Multi Gift emails start switched on, and each email's switch decides whether it sends.
  • Team emails. New contacts start with Important updates, Product updates and Performance emails on. Multi Gift admin emails are opt-in. The store owner gets all four.
  • Faster app. The Giftnote app reopens without the sign-in wait. Pages your plan doesn't include show an upgrade card.
  • Development stores. Partners and agencies can subscribe a development store to a paid plan using Shopify test charges.

Fixed

Gift orders

  • If Shopify never told us about a gift order, we now rebuild it when the order is fulfilled.
  • Edit Giftnote message saves from Shopify admin, and hides once an order is delivered or completed.
  • Create message sends at the exact Send Later time you pick.
  • Removing a gift message at checkout clears it, so the order is no longer treated as a gift.
  • Free or fully discounted orders no longer show a missing analytics value.

Multi Gift

  • Send Later keeps the date and time your customer picked.
  • Volume discounts show in the storefront nav again.
  • The order review page shows its date in your customer's local time.
  • Storefront checkout: address autocomplete fills the city, cancelling Add recipient adds nothing, empty groups don't change the total, and each recipient's order links to its status page.
  • Settings: changes confirm with a message, Handle Check catches taken handles, and product warnings name the real cause.

Gift cards

  • A paid gift card is issued even if the recipient or customer email is invalid.
  • Gift card values in emails always show two decimals ($25.00).
  • The gift card timeline shows resends and balance changes straight away.

Emails and codes

  • Gift orders with nothing to send no longer retry.
  • Claim and verification codes always send.

Analytics

  • Analytics > Products leaves out the onboarding gift card and shows how many were gifted at each price.

Integrations

  • Loop Returns turns on from the Add return links switch.

Shopify app

  • Sidekick's Giftnote analytics link opens the right page.
  • Settings pages show your saved values, not the defaults.
  • Plan and settings pages show your real usage for the cycle.
  • Delete confirmations use a red button.
